How do I find Facebook ad ideas that already work in my niche?

Use the Facebook (Meta) Ads Library at facebook.com/ads/library.

  1. Choose All ads and search a keyword or advertiser for your niche, for example HVAC repair. You sometimes have to try different words, such as HVAC repair or heating and air conditioning instead of HVAC.
  2. Check when each ad started running. Businesses only keep paying for ads that make money, so an ad that has run for many months or years is very likely profitable. An ad launched last month tells you little yet.
  3. Look at where each ad runs (the icons show Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, Messenger and Threads). Prefer ads that run on all platforms, or at least on Facebook and Instagram.
  4. Click through to the ad's landing page to see which offer works. Even an ugly page is working if its ad has run for years.
  5. Take screenshots of the ads you like to build a swipe file.
  6. Paste the screenshots or text into the Votel AI assistant, or another AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude or Votel's MCP server, and ask it to make more ads like these using your brand, colors, logo, phone number and offer. Use the humanizer skill on the text.

You can do this for your own business or for your clients. You learn the formats, calls to action and language that work, then create your own ads around them.
